Well with the mods RawKrypto showcased I delved back into FC2. I never fully got into it for the reasons most people had. Has great elements but some obnoxious aspects. However, understanding better how to play the game now and how to better utilize the save system while also taking of the quick save system that I always forget about I'm having a great time with it.Here's one of my buddies helping me get out of a mess I got myself into. Turns out after he rescued me, he caught on fire from my mess and I had to help him.(apparently you can also leave them or kill them instead)I take a mission from a weapons dealer to take out a weapons shipment. I stalk the guards, take them out, then destroy the truck.Some of the scenery. Its a great looking game with lots of great sounds, lighting and atmosphere.The vegetation has great physics when you walk through them especially the 'elephant ears'Here's the place with all the goodies and a little bit of diamond hunting using my map and gps, some pill popping, resting using my watch and airboating.Now you see him now you don'tI love the silenced Makarov pistol.

Most the weapons sound great which in turns make them 'feel' real. I think the main problem was with the re-spawning at the enemy posts as soon as you had gone through them and that you had to keep backtracking long distances to get to the next objective but I enjoyed it and it was incredibly atmosperic. It really got under my skin and I took ages to finish it. I was seeing it in my sleep!

I just liked free-roaming the landscape which is huge and I seem to remember you could find hidden stuff. For me those were the deal breakers when it comes to FC2: respawning enemies (I could understand that after passing couple of days in the game but not after 3 min. After you left the guardpost), kevlar t-shirts on enemies, guns breaking to fast, enemies being able to spot me almost from anywhere.The whole idea of the game was great but those crazy stupid features ruined it for me. I tried 3 times to like this game but always after 4-5 hrs I gave up.
